Use the “Following Directions” worksheet. Draw this path:

Start at the arrow. Walk 2 blocks North.
Turn and walk 3 blocks East.
Turn and walk 1 block North.
Turn and walk 5 blocks West.
Turn and walk 6 blocks North.
Turn and walk 2 blocks East.
Turn and walk 4 blocks South.
Turn and walk 3 blocks East.
Turn and walk 1 block North.
Turn and walk 1 block East.

Now change to a different colour and trace your journey back to the arrow using the most direct (quickest) route.
